Goths

Goths - a subculture founded in the late 70s and the 80 Twentieth century with the post punk movement. It is associated with Gothic music derived from the current cold wave, guests also listen to gothic metal, doom metal, progressive metal and symphonic metal, and, especially recently, industrial music, and industrial-mail. Most of ready shows an interest in the occult, literature, art, vampires, or Norse mythology - especially in Slavic countries - Slavic mythology. But there are also guests interested in the topics of (mystical) Christian and Gnostic. Guests interested in poetry, literature, there are usually fairly intelligent person, or who consider themselves as such. On the other hand, there is no indicator of interest, which connect the members of the movement. Gothic subculture is seen as "dark" and for outsiders often incomprehensible. The general opinion stereotype reigns eternally sorrowful, self-inflicted in gota. In addition, many people mistakenly equate the gothic subculture of Satanism. In fact, guests despite his fascination with darkness, have nothing to do with the worship of Satan.

The place of integrating the community today, after the death of Beksiński is primarily Castle Party festival held annually in Bolkowie. There is also a huge (for the number of viewers) festival in Leipzig, Germany, Wave-Gotik-Treffen. The subculture is, however, not uniform due to the influence of electronic music, punk, death metal, black metal, neofolk, industrial, and other trends, so that within it there are disputes about the definition of what is Gothic.

Emo

Emo is one of the youngest subcultures that exist in Poland. Emo characterized above all its appearance. For the first time a group of emo emerged in the 80's in the USA. Emo style we can discern a few borrowings from other subcultures. They carry themselves like the punks and gothów. They are characterized by a long slanting bangs covering their face, disheveled hair usually full colored in black, pale makeup, which are heavily stressed eyes. Skinny jeans, old sneakers and t-shirts with his beloved teams. Favorite color is black of course, but also purple and red and pink. In these it must also be painted paznokcie.Emo can be subsumed under the counterculture, because their appearance was a kind of protest against the materialistic and vulgar American rappers lifestyle. According to the Emo culture is not a lifestyle but rather a state of mind. Emo is a real person rather depressive and introverted, who considers that nobody in the world can not understand the pain of existential-except, of course, other Emo. The word "emo" and "screamo" are carelessly used for pop punk bands, rock and metalcore.

Metalheads

This subculture was founded in the early seventies in the United Kingdom and the United States and brings together people listening to heavy metal music.

Metal subculture is not based on any particular ideology. Metalowcy people positive attitude towards other people and subcultures, pursuing their personal independence. For them, the most important is the music. The only breaks in their environment are associations around the individual bands playing various types of metal.

The subculture is distinguished from other subcultures in appearance and character of being. Black color is their trademark. Over this dress is usually black shirts with prints favorite heavy metal bands, tight pants, usually dark or black jeans, boots, leather jackets and studded leather belts and bracelets, Poland metalheads we also called "cubes" that former military backpacks. Metalheads wear long hair, both girls and boys.

Skateboarders !!

Skateboarders are a subculture which comes from california. Nowadays, skateboarders are a group of people who share a common passion to skateboards, rollerblades or bikes. In Poland this group appeared at the end of 80s. The wear baggy fair T-shirts, a blouse, a baseball cap or trousers which are loose. They can be also characteiresed by their free style of liring - they are individuals. They are very active people who like spending their spare time on rollerblades, skateboard or cycling. Their abilites skateboarders can show on many festivals organised specially for them. In many cities there appeared apecial skate-parks where these people can practise their tricks and not olisturb ather people. Skateboarders are the subculture which is not special shop in wchich skateboarders can buy a profesional equipment and clothes. They are often mistaken with hip-hop groups of people.

What is a subculture?

Every society in the world, including the Polish society has a certain subculture, which are distinguished by their appearance and views. Despite the fact that they live in one country often live and live close to each other stand out and believe in completely opposite values.
The subculture is a break from everyday life, family issues and responsibilities. In Poland is  over 30% of young people belong to different subcultures. Subcultures are formed, among others by common interested of a larger group of people.
In Poland  are a subculture such as skaterzy, metalowcy, rastafarianie, skinheadzi, szalikowcy, emo, anarchiści, punkowcy and many other smaller communities.
