This subculture was founded in the
early seventies in the United Kingdom and the United States and
brings together people listening to heavy metal music.
Metal subculture is not based on any
particular ideology. Metalowcy people positive attitude towards other
people and subcultures, pursuing their personal independence. For
them, the most important is the music. The only breaks in their
environment are associations around the individual bands playing
various types of metal.
The subculture is distinguished from
other subcultures in appearance and character of being. Black color
is their trademark. Over this dress is usually black shirts with
